Frequently asked questions
What does the ADHD assessment involve?
The process has three parts: a diagnostic interview (your life history, main symptoms, medical history and overall functioning), an ADHD clinical interview (DIVA-5, covering your symptoms now and in childhood), and a psychometric assessment (questionnaires that help show whether ADHD or another mental health issue best explains your symptoms).
ADHD assessment is usually spread over several sessions, but we combine all parts into a single 1.5–2 hour appointment. If we need more information, a follow-up interview with a partner or family member is booked, and it is included in the price.
Who is this assessment for?
Anyone aged 12 and over seeking clarity around ADHD symptoms or a formal evaluation: an adult who suspects undiagnosed ADHD, or a teenager whose family wants a professional evaluation. Assessments are not available for children under 12.
Is testing done online or in person?
In person only. The assessment requires a face-to-face clinical interview at our office at Mezibranská 4, Prague 1 (Metro C, Muzeum).
Can Prague Integration prescribe medication for ADHD?
No. Under Czech law, only a psychiatrist can officially record a diagnosis under an ICD code on your health card and prescribe medication. Our clinical psychologist compiles the results, writes a summary and gives a diagnosis based on the psychological assessment. If medication is relevant for you, your report supports a referral to a psychiatrist.
Most people do not need medication: in many cases the evaluation from our clinical psychologist is enough on its own. For most psychiatrists, the report plus a few questions about your medical history is enough to prescribe, although we can’t predict whether a specific psychiatrist will want their own assessment.
Is the assessment recognised abroad?
The assessment is valid and recognised within the Czech Republic. We cannot guarantee that it will be recognised in other countries; please check the requirements of any other country yourself, if relevant.
Do I need to sign anything?
Yes. Before the assessment you sign an Informed Consent Form covering the process, confidentiality and GDPR, session and cancellation policies and fees. If the client is under 16, a parent or guardian signs on their behalf.
What happens after the assessment?
A diagnosis is the starting point, not the end. We can help you build a plan that may include a psychiatrist referral, ADHD coaching for practical day-to-day strategies, and therapy or CBT-based support for anxiety, self-esteem or relationship difficulties.
Not every assessment ends in an ADHD diagnosis, and that is a useful outcome too. Poor focus, restlessness or feeling overwhelmed can also come from anxiety, depression, sleep issues, burnout or adjusting to a new country. Either way, you leave with clarity, not a dead end.
