Men’s Circle

What this is

The Men’s Circle is a support group. It’s not quite a class and not quite therapy. Up to thirteen men meet ten times, in the same room, with the same group each week. We don’t discuss masculinity in the abstract. Instead, we work with what is actually alive in the room, using stories and archetypal imagery that speak across languages and cultures.

Places are booked for all ten sessions, not week by week. That commitment is what makes the room safe enough to be honest in. The ground rules (confidentiality, punctuality, non-violence, no advice-giving, and speaking in “I”) are shared in advance and agreed together on the first evening.

What happens each evening

Each session opens with silence or meditation, followed by a short framing theme, personal sharing and group work, and a closing meditation. You’ll receive a short briefing on the theme a couple of days before each evening.
